BASIC ENTREPRENEURSHIP COURSE
A Week-Long Basic Entrepreneurship Course at Jigme Namgyel Engineering College concluded on 4th March, 2024 The EIC recently organized a comprehensive week-long entrepreneurship course for community youths, aimed at equipping them with essential skills and knowledge to kickstart their entrepreneurial journey. The course, which commenced on 26th February, saw active participation from 18 enthusiastic individuals, with a notable 12 of them being female. Throughout the week, participants delved into a range of topics crucial for entrepreneurship success. They explored the intricacies of ideation, delved into the nuances of the Business Model Canvas, conducted market research, devised effective marketing strategies, honed their financial planning skills, and perfected the art of pitching their ideas. The course was not limited to theoretical discussions; it incorporated a variety of interactive workshops, engaging group discussions, and hands-on practical exercises. These activities were designed to not only impart knowledge but also to provide a platform for participants to apply their learning in real-world scenarios. The culmination of the course on 4th March was marked by a special event where participants presented their business ideas. The presence of the college president and the dean of research added to the significance of the occasion. The event concluded with the participants being awarded certificates of completion, recognizing their dedication and achievement throughout the course. The entrepreneurship course not only empowered the participants with valuable entrepreneurial skills but also served as a platform for fostering innovation and creativity within the community. It stands as a testament to the college's commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial talent and contributing to the growth and development of the community.
