Exciting news unfolds as the entrepreneurial journey of Yoenten.bt, an incubatee of Jigme Namgyel Engineering College, takes a remarkable leap forward. Comprising a dynamic team of one current student and two recent graduates with backgrounds in power engineering and mechanical engineering, Yoenten.bt has created an innovative eLearning management system poised to revolutionize online education. The team's success story began in September when they clinched victory in a college-level business idea competition, igniting their passion to bring their eLearning platform to fruition. Undeterred by their initial success, the team went on to represent Jigme Namgyel Engineering College at a university-level business idea competition, securing an impressive second place among nine teams with diverse creative concepts. The final round, held at Startup Centre, Thimphu, during the Druk Tshongrig Gatoen event, showcased their prowess in pitching their idea. The team's dedication and innovation have not gone unnoticed, as they received a substantial cash prize of Nu. 30,000 and a noteworthy seed investment of Nu. 500,000, providing crucial financial backing for the startup's incubation period of six months. The project has already obtained the necessary license for operation. This outstanding achievement wouldn't have been possible without the unwavering support from Jigme Namgyel Engineering College Management and MoICE, who fostered a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation. The heartfelt gratitude expressed towards the college signifies the pivotal role played in nurturing and propelling aspiring entrepreneurs toward success in the dynamic world of business and innovation.
