Oyster Mushroom Cultivation Training Initiated by Dewathang Gewog and assisted by Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre (JNEC)
Recently conducted 3-day Oyster Mushroom Cultivation Training Program, organized and funded by the local government in collaboration with Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center. With a focus on empowering 27 local farmers, the program achieved its primary objective by delivering theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and market insights in oyster mushroom cultivation. The initiative included theoretical sessions covering essential aspects of cultivation, practical hands-on training, and market orientation, resulting in overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants who expressed increased confidence in independent mushroom cultivation. Future recommendations emphasize scaling up the program, incorporating advanced techniques, and expanding market collaboration for sustained success. The report concludes by acknowledging the collaborative efforts of the local government, agriculture expert, and participating farmers, highlighting the potential for positive change within the community.
